Hawk 127s and P-8A Poseidon support to Battle of Britain Commemoration - Hobart

Up to two Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Hawk 127 Lead-In-Fighter aircraft, and one RAAF P-8A Poseidon aircraft will conduct flypasts over the Cenotaph, Hobart Domain on Sunday 15 September at approximately 11am in support of the 79th Battle of Britain Commemorative Service.
The aircraft will fly in formation in a northerly direction along the Derwent River at approximately 150m, and at speeds of up to 650km/hr before turning left to fly over the Cenotaph.
Up to two Hawk 127 Lead-In-Fighter aircraft will then conduct a handling display over the Cenotaph at approximately 11:30am.
The Battle of Britain Commemoration provides past and present Air Force members with an opportunity to reflect on the contributions of Australian airmen, 24 of whom lost their lives, while flying with the Royal Air Force in the defence of Britain.
