Increased military flying operations in Darwin

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will operate fighter jets, air-to-air refuelling and airborne early warning aircraft from RAAF Base Darwin through the months of October and November. The RSAF will conduct unilateral training at the Bradshaw and Delamere air weapons ranges in the Northern Territory. The presence of the RSAF in the Northern Territory aims to strengthen our relationships with our regional partners.
 
DATE:                         04 October 2021 – 26 November 2021
 
TIME:                          Flying is expected to occur Monday to Friday during daylight hours. Night Flying is expected to occur between October 25 and November 05 on week nights and is expected to cease around 9:30 PM to limit noise impact on community.
 
VENUE:                       RAAF Base Darwin
 
The local community is advised to expect increased military flying operations in the Darwin area over the period 04 October to 26 November 2021.
 
Noise and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of training activities. The Royal Australian Air Force extends its deepest thanks and appreciation to the people of Darwin and surrounding areas for their continued support and goodwill for important military training activities such as this.

This flying activity is part of regular training. Flights and timings are changeable to best meet training objectives, they are not a scheduled flypast. This notice is to advise the local community in this area that they may hear some noise. We remind the community that everyone must observe all COVID-19 related health measures in their respective local government areas, including stay at home orders where they are in force.
