Newcastle flypast in support of Vietnam Veterans' Day

A Royal Australian Air Force fast jet aircraft will conduct a flypast in support of activities to commemorate Vietnam Veterans Day on Saturday, 17 August at approximately 4pm.

A single Hawk Lead-In-Fighter from No. 76 Squadron, based at RAAF Base Williamtown, will conduct a low level pass over the Civic Park Vietnam Memorial, King Street Newcastle. The aircraft will conduct the flypast from the East to the West before heading back to the base.

The aircraft will fly at speeds up to 1018 km/hr and at heights no lower than 75m above ground level.

All flying is subject to change due to weather and operational requirements.
