No. 114 Mobile Control and Reporting Unit will be conducting a ceremonial parade on 23 May to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the unit’s formation. An F/A-18 Hornet aircraft will conduct two flypasts over RAAF Base Darwin and the Air Force Band will also participate as part of the Parade.
The WWII Borneo Campaign (Tarakan Island) is an important element of the No. 114 Mobile Control and Reporting Unit’s history.
An F/A-18 Hornet aircraft from RAAF Tindal’s 75 Squadron will conduct two flypasts over RAAF Base Darwin as part of the parade at about 9.25am and 9.40am.
The flypast is subject to variables including weather, air traffic control, operational availability and may be subject to cancellation at short notice.
