A Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18A/B Hornet from Number 77 Squadron based at RAAF Base Williamtown will conduct flypasts for family members as part of activities to celebrate  Australia’s newest graduate Air Force Officers on 9 June 2017.

The F/A18 Hornet will perform two flypasts overhead the graduation parade ground at RAAF Base East Sale.

The first pass, scheduled to occur at approximately 10:17 am, will track from north to south and will be conducted at a height no lower than 250ft (76 metres) above ground level at approximately 830km/hr (450knots).

The second pass, scheduled to occur at approximately 10:36 am, will track from south to north and will be conducted at a height no lower than 500ft (150 metres) above ground level at approximately 560km/hr (300knots). 

Graduation flypast activity scheduled for 9 June 2017 is dependant on local weather conditions and operational requirements. Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military flying.
