Sunshine Coast flypast in support of Vietnam Veterans' Day

A Royal Australian Air Force fast jet aircraft will conduct a flypast in support of activities to commemorate Vietnam Veterans Day on Sunday, 18 August at approximately 11.35am.

A single F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft from No. 1 Squadron, based at RAAF Base Amberley, will conduct a single low level pass over the Cotton Tree Cenotaph at Maroochydore. The aircraft will arrive from the South and depart to the North.  

The aircraft will fly at speeds up to 1018 km/hr and at heights no lower than 75m above ground level.

All flying is subject to change due to weather and operational requirements.
