Details
In the lead-up preparation to Sunsuper Riverfire, Brisbane residents can expect to see a C-17A Globemaster aircraft flying at low level over the city on Thursday, 26 September at around 1pm.

The C-17A will conduct passes over the Brisbane River and the CBD as the pilots expertly manoeuvre the aircraft as part of the preparation for Riverfire display. Each flying display is planned and flown beforehand and the pilots train to a high skill level to perform such manoeuvres. The aircraft will be at least 100 meters clear of terrain or any buildings during the display.

The flying display will provide the public a great opportunity to take photos of the aircraft.

Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military flying. Air Force appreciates the support it receives from South East Queensland community and residents. .

All flying is subject to variables including weather, air traffic control, and operational availability and may be subject to cancellation at short notice.
