The Australian Defence Force is conducting training exercises over land, sea and air in Western Australia from 11 February to 11 March 2019.
The training will see increased flying activity from RAAF Pearce and RAAF Learmonth and increased naval activity from HMAS Stirling and in the Western Australian Exercise Area (WAXA).
The public should not be alarmed if they see low-flying aircraft, increased ship movements, vehicles and military personnel or hear the associated noise of the aircraft, blank gunfire and pyrotechnics.
Training such as this helps ensure the Australian Defence Force remains in a ready state of preparedness in the protection of Australia and its national interests.
The ADF is unable to provide media access or further information, including specific timings, regarding this training in order to protect operational tactics, techniques and procedures.
Information on aircraft noise and current flying activities is available at http://www.defence.gov.au/aircraftnoise, or by calling 1300 DEFENCE (1300 333 362)
