Hunter residents are advised to look to the sky around RAAF Base Williamtown and north of Tea Gardens, as Air Force fighter aircraft - including F/A-18A Hornets, Hawk Lead-In Fighter and our new F-35A Joint Strike Fighters - conduct practice displays over the base precinct in preparation for the Australian International Airshow Avalon 2019.

The Australian Defence Force is part of the Australian International Airshow Avalon 2019. The event is held biannually at Avalon Airport, near Geelong in Victoria.
The Australian International Airshow Aerospace and Defence Expo 2019 is a week-long trade exhibition showcasing aerospace industry and military aviation (26 February to 1 March), followed by the Avalon 2019 public airshow on the weekend of 1-3 March.
