Did you know the Museum has a number of facilities to support our restoration projects and display activities in-house?
General Engineering Section
Our General Engineering Section has the sheet metal, welding, milling and turning equipment used to support Museum activities.
We have a wide variety of equipment available, so the Museum is generally able to create most of the items that we need for restorations and display purposes.
When the RAAF Museum moved in to the engineering facilities of No 1 Flying Training School in 1993, we were lucky enough to inherit the unit's paint shop.
The paint shop allows us to do refinishing, corrosion treatment, and stripping in-house.
