Jervis Bay

Historical photo of the base

A satellite airfield for the nearby Nowra base, Jervis Bay was primarily used to support torpedo training by No 6 Operational Training Unit during World War II. The RAAF vacated the airfield following the war, however, the facility continued to be used as a base for pilotless target aircraft such as the Jindivik, and its replacement, the Kalkara, which is in service to the present day.
