Hawk 127 aircraft operating at Busselton Margaret River Airport

Up to five Royal Australian Air Force Hawk 127 Lead-In Fighter aircraft from No. 79 Squadron will be operating from Busselton Margaret River Airport as part of Introductory Fighter Course.

The Hawk 127 pilots will be utilising the Busselton Margaret River Airport for formation take-off and landing instruction.

Introductory Fighter Course is a 14 week course conducted by No. 79 Squadron from RAAF Base Pearce, WA. Domestic deployments and training at alternative airfields is an essential part of training on fast jet aircraft to enable pilots to operate from different operating environments.

Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military flying. Air Force appreciates the ongoing support of the community during these training activities.
