The Royal Australian Air Force is hosting an extended fighter aircraft detachment from the Republic of Singapore Air Force until 10 October 2025.
During this time, there will be increased flying operations out of RAAF Base Pearce in Bullsbrook.
The Pilatus PC-21 and Hawk-127 Lead-in Fighter aircraft, which are currently based out of RAAF Base Pearce, will be joined by a small detachment of F-16C/D aircraft from the Republic of Singapore Air Force.
Defence is aware that the increased operations increase noise and this may impact local residents in the Bullsbrook, West Bullsbrook, Ellenbrook, Aveley, The Vines, Lancelin, Gingin, Yanchep, Busselton, Pinjarra and the surrounding communities.
Defence is aware that aircraft noise can impact residents living near bases and training areas and is committed to reducing it, while balancing operational and training requirements.
Every opportunity to reduce impacts to the local community will be taken, and flying is subject to change due to variables such as air traffic control requirements, weather and other aviation considerations.
Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military flying.
